The smallest AI brain.
Guided by a human.

Runs on a Raspberry Pi. Speaks 6 languages. Answers honestly. Never acts alone. Never sends your data to the cloud. Cooper is the AI your family owns — not rents.

In development — private beta coming 2026

What Cooper Is

Cooper is a local AI assistant that runs in your home. It doesn’t need the cloud. It doesn’t act on its own. It waits for you — and answers honestly.

Small enough to run on a phone, a Raspberry Pi, a ten-year-old laptop. No GPU farm. No subscription required to think.

One structural constraint: a human must guide it. Cooper does not decide. Cooper does not act autonomously. Cooper waits, processes, returns an honest answer — or says “I don’t know.”

This is not artificial general intelligence. This is artificial cooperation.

What Cooper Can Do

?
Answer questions in 6 languages — Romanian, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian
📄
Explain documents — bills, contracts, medical leaflets, homework assignments
📚
Help children learn — without sending their questions to a server
🌐
Translate in real time — between any of the 6 supported languages
🔒
Keep a private family journal — conversations that never leave your house
🛡
Detect manipulation — TVE 6-axis analysis, built into the engine
Refuse when unsure — “I don’t know” is a structural feature, not a bug
🔐
Work offline — no internet required for any core function

What Cooper Cannot Do

Honesty is a design principle. Here is what Cooper will not do:

No internet access by default. Cooper does not browse, search, or fetch remote data.
No smart home control. Cooper answers questions. It does not control devices.
No medical, legal, or financial advice. Cooper is not a professional. It will say so.
No cloud storage. Data stays on your device. There is no “sync to cloud” by default.
No learning from other families. Your Cooper knows only what your family teaches it.

Five Design Principles

01
Small by Design
The model must run on consumer hardware. If it needs a data centre, it is not Cooper. Compression, quantisation, pruning — whatever it takes to fit in a home.
02
Human-Guided Always
Cooper never initiates. Cooper never decides for you. Cooper waits, listens, processes, returns. The human is the anchor — structurally, not optionally.
03
Local-First, Private-Forever
Data stays on your device. No telemetry. No cloud sync unless you choose it. Your family’s conversations, questions, and patterns belong to your family.
04
Honest Over Capable
“I don’t know” is the correct answer when the model doesn’t know. Cooper refuses rather than confabulates. Being small means accepting limits — and being honest about them.
05
For Every Home
Not for labs. Not for enterprises first. For the family that wants to understand a document. For the child who asks “why?” at 11 PM. For every home with electricity.

The Human Anchor

Every AI system in the ami* ecosystem traces back to one principle: an AI without a human anchor will lose coherence. This is not philosophy — it is a structural property of meaning.

Cooper is the purest expression of this principle. It is a brain that cannot function without its human. Not because of a limitation. Because that is the design. The human provides context, intent, values, and direction. Cooper provides computation, pattern recognition, and honest processing.

Together, they cooperate. That is the name. That is the product. That is the future we are building — not AI that replaces humans, but AI that makes humans more capable while remaining under their control.

Why Now

The AI industry is building bigger. Bigger models. Bigger data centres. Bigger energy consumption. Bigger dependency on corporations that own the cloud.

Cooper goes the other direction. Smaller. Local. Human-dependent. Because the future of AI is not in the cloud — it is in the living room, the kitchen, the school desk, the elder’s bedside table.

3.8 billion people have a smartphone (GSMA, 2025). Every one of them can have a Cooper. Not rented. Owned. Not monitored. Private. Not autonomous. Cooperative.

This is the model. One brain per home. Guided by the human who lives there.

Questions

Can I run Cooper on my phone?
Yes. Any smartphone from 2020 or newer with 2+ GB RAM. Android first, iOS planned.
What happens without internet?
Everything works. Cooper runs 100% locally. Internet is never required for any core function.
Does Cooper learn from my conversations?
Only on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere. Your Cooper knows only what your family teaches it.
Can I delete all data?
Yes. All data lives on your device. Delete the app, delete the data. No cloud backup unless you choose one.
Is Cooper safe for children?
Cooper has hard anti-addiction limits (DSEI IV), session budgets, and manipulation detection (TVE 6-axis). It is designed for families.
Does Cooper replace ChatGPT?
No. Cooper is smaller, local, and private. It trades capability for honesty, privacy, and human control. Different tool, different purpose.
What model does Cooper use?
Cooper is model-agnostic. It runs any open model under 3B parameters. No vendor lock-in. The engine is what matters — not the model.
When can I try it?
Cooper is in active development. Private beta planned for late 2026. The engine (146 tests, DSEI 7/7) is already built.
Part of the ami* ecosystem. Built in Europe. For every home.
